So, I was getting on a bus the other day and I sat down beside a window seat, and I noticed that I tried to get to the bus first everyday for 2 reasons:
1.To be in the front, so it's easier to get off and I don't have to sit by anybody (yes, I AM that antisocial)
2.To get a window seat
It dawned on me that getting a window seat is one of the most important things in everybody's daily life. You take a bus, you want a window seat. The car's the same. Nobody wants to sit in the middle in the back seat. Cars are harder though 'cause, there's windows everywhere. But then there's also offices. If you get promoted (or not) you want an office with a window. A room with a view. Windows get some of the most amazing detail to attention in America. Window washers, there's window cleaning products, window seats, we even try and make our windows MORE BEAUTIFUL by PUTTING UP CURTAINS! Curtains! We dress up our windows for gods sakes! But the one that really got to me, was the airplane window seats.
I mean, when you think about it, if you get on a bus, or in a car, or an office, you want a window that you can look out of and see something. That's why people go for those seats. But why do people want a window seat on an airplane? This logic escapes me. Because really, what're you gonna see that's so f*cking interesting 2000 miles up in the air? A cloud? Some birds? I could go to a park and see that sh*t. Come on. In all fairness, it's just stupid. The only exiciting window seat had to be the seat on flight 93, because those people look out, they see people screaming and buildings coming at them, I'm not condoning what our government did, but come on, that had to be somewhat interesting and exciting.
Maybe it's MY logic that escapes me.
